Mavericks Contest!

Congradulations to Chris Bertish, 2010 Mavericks Champ! The waves were crazy huge, Tons of people lined up to watch the contest, two Huge ones rolled in and swept away spectators. Shane Desmond walked away with 2nd place and SC loc Anthony Tashnick took 3rd. check these photos from the event... crazy!!!

Why hasn't Mavs run yet?

Well, for one reason, running the event takes a majority vote from all 24 competitors. And the swells that did come in, were on Thanksgiving and Christmas, and they don't run the contest over those holidays. Here's Pat Gudauskas dropping in!

Mavericks Waiting Period

We've entered the waiting period for the Mavs Contest. With the swell in the water right now, we thought they'd be running the show already. I guess we'll have to wait a couple more days, it'll be worth it though, with some of Norcal's favorites competing like Tyler Smith, Flea, Nathan Fletcher, and so many more.
