Tour Update from Shea Lopez

John Florence and Pat Gudauskas have advanced to the quarters tomorrow morning at the Mr. Price Pro Prime event being held in Balito South Africa. The event has seen some of the best conditions imaginable, with both surfers getting some of the best rides they've ever experienced during a contest. Even with a loss in the quarters, the points gained will see Pat move up to around 20th on the One World Rankings. John would be in the low 40's in need of one more result before the mid-year cut with one event to do it at, the U.S. Open of Surfing at Huntington Beach. But enough of that, John and Pat are looking good for the win. Tanner won back in 2009 and is frothing to put his name on the list of champions with his brother. And John, after already winning two events in Hawaii this year under similar epic conditions, would be hard to bet against. A win for him here will see John right on the bubble for WT qualification. aspworldtour.com or Mrpricepro.com to watch the boys get classic in some huge barrels tomorrow morning or night, depending on where you live.
