US Open of Surfing

The Vans Surf Team came to Jacks on main street for a signing, the Gudangs signed a dog... yeah a dog. PETA showed up shortly after.

Loggin' at the Open

It bums me out to say that Pat Guduaksas went down in his heat today. He surfed some great heats, and did pretty well, good job buddy! Joel's noseriding invitational also took place today. They ran the semi-finals, Alex Knost, Harrison Roach, Tyler Warren were some of the competitors that surfed today, as well as Joel himself. They weren't very clear with the results of that division. Kinda seemed like they were rushing to get the longboarders outta there, weird right? And yes, Robbie was surfing in jeans.

US Open: Day 6

Today was a big day at the US Open. All but one were eliminated. Everyone was surfing great, we saw Dylan Graves, Tanner Gudauskas, and Timmy Reyes all fall on the battle grounds today, Except Patrick Gudauskas! He brought out the big guns and took down Taj Burrow & Kolohe Andino. Needless to say... the boys are stoked!

Tanner & Miranda Kerr

Not only has Tanner advanced through his round 2 heat at the US Open, he is also apparently in a relationship with Miranda Kerr... way to go T-Bone.

US Open: Day 4

Today we had 3 Vans Team riders competing in the US Open of Surfing. Two went down in round 1, Dane Gudauskas & John Florence. Tough heats... John is also competing in the Juniors division, so he continues on into the quarter-finals on friday. Dylan Graves won his heat today, and will move on into round 2. Tomorrow we have Dane's brother Tanner surfing in his heat against last year's US Open champ Brett Simpson. Stay Tuned for more US Open action & Follow us on Twitter

US OPEN: Day 2

Today Andrew Doheny & John Florence both advanced through round 3 in the Juniors division. Juniors quarter finals continue on friday & tune in tomorrow for Leila Hurst, as she will be surfing in the Women's division (pictured below feeling Ivan Florence's abs, or lack there of)

US OPEN: Day 1

The masses came out today for the start of the US Open in Huntington Beach. Van's very own John John Florence advanced through 2 rounds of the Juniors division today. While Leila Hurst was 1st alternate for the women's Juniors division, and ended up not making it in. But she will be competing in the main event later in the next couple of days!
